We’re loving the weather and all the options it’s giving us when it comes to make quick and easy desserts that are to die for… and much healthier than our winter go-to chocolate cake. We’re giving you a few of our favourite summertime desserts.




Strawberry popsicles are just about the easiest dessert to make. Grab some strawberries, mix in a little water and syrup and bob’s your uncle. However, the added twist of adding Greek Yoghurt into the mix not only provides an added boost of protein and probiotics but adds texture to your popsicles as well. Mix these up in 5 minutes before popping in the freezer for a healthy summer treat you’ll love.



Fresh strawberries

Honey (or maple syrup)

Vanilla extract

Fresh lemon

Plain whole milk Greek yoghurt



Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend well. Pour into small freezer pop molds or cups and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.


Tip: Get an ice lolly or ice cream popsicle mold for that popsicle shape kids will love.

1/4 cup sweetened vanilla-flavored almond milk

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 frozen banana, cut into pieces

1/2 cup peanut butter

4 ice cubes

In a blender, combine the almond milk, banana, peanut butter, cocoa powder and ice before securing the lid and blending (from low to high if using a variable-speed blender) until smooth. Remember be careful to keep the smoothie thick and do not over blend.

Pour smoothie into a bowl (or bowls) and top with any of the suggested toppings, as desired.

Ever-so sticky but delicious to eat. This recipe is so simple, you can make these in your sleep (well, almost). We love the ease with which you can make this treat and how it ups the ante on your everyday breakfast cereal, and is one that you can let the kids help you make.



6 Tablespoons of unsalted butter

1 bag mini marshmallows

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

6 cups of Rice Crispies cereal



Line a square baking dish with parchment paper, then set it aside. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Once melted, add in all but 1 cup of the marshmallows. Reduce heat to low and continue stirring until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Add the cereal and the remaining 1 cup of marshmallows. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Press GENTLY with your fingertips just until completely spread out (the harder you pack them in, the harder they are to eat). Allow to set for 1 hour. Cut and enjoy!
