As an RCS card holder, you’re used to being able to walk into an array of stores around the country and complete a purchase with a simple swipe. However, RCS has continued to move with the times and we know that more and more South Africans are looking for online shopping facilities.
You'll be glad to know that a number of RCS partners already allow you to make online purchases using your RCS Store Card. This adds another layer of convenience for cardholders, and the wide range of partners ensures that you can find anything from groceries to building materials. You can locate the complete list of partners offering online shopping with your RCS Store Card by clicking on the Shopping Network tab on the RCS website and selecting “online” from the “Type” filter on the landing page.
To give you an idea of how to checkout online using your RCS Card, we will give you a quick walkthrough. In the example below, when shopping at Game, simply add products to your online basket and, when done, head over to the checkout option. Here you will be prompted to choose your payment method. As seen below, you need to click on the RCS option to indicate that you would like to pay with your Store Card.
When heading to the next stage of checkout, you will be prompted to enter the relevant card details from your RCS Store Card. Here you will need to provide your card number, which can be found on the card itself, as well as the cardholder details (see image below).
Depending on the vendor, you may be prompted to provide a one-time pin (OTP), which would be delivered to the registered phone number of the account holder via SMS. Should this be the case, check your phone for the number and enter it in to complete the transaction.
Next, we have a different example, this time from Keedo.
Should you opt to make use of your RCS Credit Card, you will be able to make purchases at any online store that accepts MasterCard, not only RCS partners. In this case, you would simply choose to pay for your order using a credit card, and will be prompted to enter your card number, cardholder details and security number, as you would with your bank debit card or any other credit card.
It is important to remember that not all RCS partners currently offer an online shopping experience, so make sure to check all available online partners. Below are some of the RCS partners you could use for online purchasing:

- Incredible Connection: Upgrading your laptop, looking for a new wireless speaker, or eager to ramp up your gaming experience – Incredible Connection has a wide range of deals on some of the best computer and electronic products.
- Outdoor Warehouse: This niche outdoor store offers a range of camping and outdoor gear, with some excellent online deals to take advantage of.
There are even more shopping options available, such as getting tyres at Tiger Wheel and Tyre, stocking up on drinks for a party at LiquorShop online, getting a new book at Exclusive Books or filling your cupboards with excellent grocery deals at Pick n Pay.
Make sure that you treat your card and account details as confidential when it comes to purchasing orders online, whether using your Store Card or Credit Card. RCS partners that offer online shopping make use of safe and secure online payment portals, which ensures that your card and personal details are kept secure while transacting online.
