RCS Credit Card Update

 

RCS has decided to discontinue the RCS Credit Card program. This decision allows the organisation to focus on developing new and innovative solutions that will better serve our customers’ evolving financial needs.

 

If you currently hold an RCS Credit Card, you will no longer be able to use your RCS Credit Card for purchases or cash withdrawals as of 30 September 2025.

 

Your account will continue to be serviced until your balance is settled in full. If you have concerns or queries, please contact RCS on 0861 729 727.

  • Are 18 years and older
  • Have a South African ID or driver’s license
  • Are employed and earn R1,000 or more per month
  • Can provide proof of income documentation

  2. Next, complete the full application

    Complete an easy application and submit your proof of income documents online.

  3. Shop Online Immediately

    Access your Digicard via the RCS App and start shopping online immediately OR

  4. Shop in-store upon card collection

    Collect your physical card from the store you applied at or your nearest Game or Makro store

Mobicred is digital credit that allows you to shop safely at your favourite brands, both online and in-store.

You could qualify for up to R50,000 digital credit. Repay your balance via a convenient and easy debit order, where your monthly minimum repayment is just 7.5% of your outstanding balance.

Ts & Cs apply. Select automated income verification and accept pre-agreement. In-store payments are only accepted at selected retailers.

How do I get a Mobicred account

While everyone’s application is unique based on their credit history, affordability criteria and other factors; here’s the basics you need to have to apply.

Do I qualify?

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a valid SA ID
  • Have a valid SA cell phone number and email address
  • Have an existing and valid bank account in your name

What happens if I still have an RCS Credit Card?

As of 30 September 2025, you will no longer be able to use your RCS Credit Card for purchases or cash withdrawals. Please note that you are still liable for the outstanding balance owed on your card.
